Brasero, no option for creating ISO

I love . It’s simple, lightweight, and comes with . Recently, when I wanted to back up a disk, was not on the list of formats. As is usual, the issue was a missing package: -cdrkit.

apt-get install brasero-cdrkit

Now, .ISO (ISO9960) will be an available disk format for you under Brasero.

  1. Installing cdrdao does not fix the problem under Ubuntu 10.10 here.

    • Michael,
Check that you have the following installed: libisofs6 genisoimage. let me know if installing either of those does the trick.

I have all of these installed and it still didn’t fix it.

        • The post has been updated with what appears to be the correct package name. Give THAT a shot.

      • I get ISO for Data CDs, just not audio. There used to be a way to get ISO for audio CDs but apparently this is no longer there. Oh well.
